EMPTY MANHATTAN
Manhattan : 3 million daytime population, 1.6 million people living in a land area of 23 square miles, 5.2 million average weekday subway ridership, 40 million tourists every year, 72.000 residents per square mile, 120.000 bikes, 13.000 yellow cabs... The most densely populated city in the world is also known as ''The city never sleeps''. But, how about photographing the city without any people ? Tolga Adanali photographed Manhattan without people during the 2008 recession. It takes 3 months to do the project. This is the first time Manhattan is photographed without anyone on the streets.

Manhattan : 3 milyon günlük nüfus yoğunluğu, 60 kilometre karelik alanda 1.7 milyon kişi, günde ortalama 5.2 milyon metro yolcusu, her yıl 40 milyon turist, kilometrekare başına 72 bin yaşayan, 120 bin bisiklet, 13 bin taksi.... Dünyanın en kalabalık şehirlerinden Manhattan, ''Hiç uyumayan şehir'' olarak da tanınıyor. Tolga Adanalı, 2008 ekonomik krizinde şehri insansız çekmeye odaklandı. 3 ay süren ''Empty Manhattan'' projesi ilk kez yapılmış oldu.
